Such a great math professor. I had John for Calculus 1 & 2. He was very easy to approach for help, & he was so talented at explaining concepts at the level of the student.

Sorry to read of John's passing. I remember the old days when we all hung out at the Texaco station ( what else could you do in Marianna ?? ) and talked cars, girls and baseball in no particular order. We had great arguments about the Pirates strategy and managers which John usually disagreed with. I always thought he would have been a good manager. Rest in peace old friend!

Mr. Gibson was a math professor of mine in the 1970s. He then "hired" me to grade some of his exams. I also recall he came to hear me sing when I was a soloist for Cal U Men's Glee Club. I surely enjoyed his classes and I have GREAT memories of him. I am sorry for your loss, but surely know we will meet again in Heaven!! Floyd Marasco, BS Ed M Ed Mathematics

Enjoyed conversations with John while attending auto racing events at various speedways. He was known to me and my wife Nancy as the professor. Very nice person. Our sympathy to Johnny who we watched grow up at the racetracks. We enjoy hearing and seeing Johnny on racing broadcasts of WoO races. Dick and Nancy Hammond Warminster, Pa.
