Practically family, we will forever cherish all the memories that go along with growing up together (trips to the dump, snowstorm sleepovers, sledding and skating and games of ‘kick the can’ until the whistle or the bell!). John was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed by all. I was always amazed by his vast knowledge of ships and how he knew where everything was in his office. Godspeed!

Thanks Jack for working with and teaching our son Matthew Norian the professional craft of nautical engineering. I am sorry we didnt get to me you in person.

So much of what I have accomplished in my life professionally....and even personally...I owe to Jack. I am absolutely certain that Jack is now sitting at a desk, surrounded by all manner of people.....smoking his pipe and telling all manner of fun stories to the assembled masses.....anyone who has known him or worked with him has been blessed. Thank you for all you did for me.....

Thank you Mr. Gilbert for your service, rest in peace.
