John R. Gilbert

I will miss John and Peggy very, very much. In March, we would usually meet for lunch in Sarasota. I remember the first party to which they invited me. It was in their Ann Arbor home. Of course the food was fabulous, but one dip was especially delicious. Neither Peggy nor John would part with the secret recipe. Finally, they caved in. It was commercial, bottled Green Goddess Dressing! I love the picture of John. It kind of sums him up--friendly, happy, but tempered with his impish dry humor...

JOHN WAS A HARD WORKER. I SKED HIM TO ESCORT SOME VISITING DOCTORS WHO WERE LOOKING TO ASSOCIATE WITH T HE UNIVERSITYOF MICHIGAN AND OVIDLY DID A VERY FINE JOB. BEST TO YOURFAMILY.
