I was deeply saddened to read about Mr. Gilbert's passing in the "Arrowsmith". Even though its been about 25 years since I've seen him, I will always remember him fondly - baseball cards, watching Fuzzy golf on Sundays, and maybe a tall can or two of Schlitz.
I hope you, Beth, and the rest of the family are otherwise well.
