Not sure what to say?

I attended Catholic University and John was one of the forst students I got to know. He was a nice person, helpful and respectful. We were not in touch afterwards but I still want to express my condolences at this time. Kathleen Schaefer (Maiden name Kelly)

To the Gill Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I only knew John as a client. He was in every way imaginable a gentleman, scholar and maintained the highest level of professionalism regardless of the situation. I sincerely hope his students and others he came in contact with emulate the same degree of professionalism John shared throughout his life. He was the finest.

Dear Bobbie and Children,

I have known and admired John since we were freshmen together at CUA, living in Albert Hall in '58 to '59.
I certainly never regretted giving a short talk that introduced him and endorsed him for Freshman class president at a student meeting that he could not attend because of basketball team commitments. John won the election and his life was a blessing to many. May God comfort you in your grief.

Best Regards,
Dr. Francis J. Kelly, CUA...

Sorry to see in the paper that John passed away. Thinking of your family at this difficult time.

I was a student in Professor Gill's Advanced Criminal Procedure in the fall of 1978. He was an outstanding teacher, and I learned many valuable tools and techniques that aided me in my 37-year career in criminal law. I truly regret that I will not be able to attend the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

You have our deepest sympathy.

Every moment I spent around Mr. Gill left me powerfully affected by his way of being. Strong, tall, powerful men, impact others immediately by their stature, but it was his incredible kindness, strength of convictions and love for his family that left me wishing I could spend more time around him. I am sad that that I had only a few opportunities to be around this amazing man.

Dear Bobbie and family, I just saw the notice about John's death and am so sorry for you all. I know you knew it was coming, but it can't be easy anyway. Bill and I are planning on attending the Mass on the 18th and sending you our love and prayers.
