McCann-Healey Funeral Home - Gloucester City Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Joseph Gillespie Jr., age 59, of Westville. John completed his courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his wife and children Tuesday morning, June 10th 2025. John was born in Gloucester County, son of Dolores Gillespie and the late John J. Gillespie Sr.

His memory lives on, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength. John is survived by his beloved wife Patricia of 39 years; his children, Heather Stevenson (Scott), John J. Gillespie IV, Jessica Heineman (Michael), Joseph Gillespie and Christian Gillespie, forever cherished and remembered by his grandchildren Chase, Anna and Izabelle; his eight loving sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends who will miss him dearly.
John was a proud owner and operator of BWS, an IT consulting business where he was passionate in helping everyone. There was nothing he couldn't do!

Those who knew John will remember him for his love of life, adventure and unwavering faith.  John loved nothing more than his true love Patti and the beautiful growing family they created together. John's true passion was traveling with his family in his RV. John was the brightest light of positivity and faith to us all.  A beloved soul who touched many lives.
