Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to all of Mr. Gillespie's family. He was truly a gifted and wonderful man. I not only enjoyed being a student of his, but enjoyed listening to him play his trumpet at our church in Mt. Dora, Fl several years ago. It brought back memories of him playing during our high school Christmas concerts!

My thoughts and prayers are with Marcia, Mary and Karen, and their families as they pass through this journey together. May John rest in peace and may the family know peace.

Mr. Gillespie was a teacher of mine and I remember him as man very dedicated and passionate about teaching with a great spirit in doing so. Please accept my deepest condolences to the whole Gillespie Family, and his friends.

Remember John as a Jolly person and a super trumpet player. Can always count on him. Prayers are with the family.

I was his TA for several years and he really taught me to the love of music. My prayers are with the family.

My fondest memories of Mr. Gillespie include teaching my brothers, Craig and Dale, in the Knoch High marching and concert bands with my favorite always being on Christmas Eve at St. Luke's when he triumphantly played his trumpet with Mrs. Gillespie playing the organ.

Mr Gillespie was always a concerned teacher with time for his students. I had Mr Gillespie back in 79-74 years. I'm sure he will missed by his family and all who new him.

Sorry for the loss of Mr. Gillespie. I had him for music in Jr. High at Knoch. Every year we had to learn the Alma Mater and square dancing. He is remembered fondly. -- Class of 1966
