Send FlowersJohn Ronald "Ron" Gilley, 58, of Kingsport, Tennessee, an employee of Mead Corporation for 15 years before his retirement, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 21, 2001, following a courageous, 4-month battle with cancer. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 23, 2001, 6-8 p.m., at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 800 Truxton Drive, Kingsport. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, 8 p.m., at the funeral home, officiated by Dr. Joey Gafford. Graveside services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 24, 11 a.m., at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Northeast Church of Christ, 2217 Beechnut Drive, Kingsport, TN 37660. Arrangements entrusted to Oak Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, Kingsport, Tennessee.
