I was John's mailman for many years we had many good political conversations together I will miss seeing him. May he rest in peace

You were so right, Liz, when you told me John's time was short. Your news gave me the chance to see John one last time at the Respite House, even though I did not think, as his friend Kevin and I left him, that it was to be the last time. He couldn't say much but folded his hands and looked straight at us. He knew.

John did not usually win at our poker games after the Friday evening meetings but he calmed...
