Not sure what to say?

My dog and I lived and worked at the Jerome´s front desk. John was a great mentor. Many funny memories 3 for all here: John was having a meeting with NY investors interested in buying the Jerome. I had two dogs living with me in employee housing. Same floor as the meeting John was having. My dogs took off crazily running the halls of the hotel and both bounded into the important meeting, and me like a cartoon character chasing them around the conference table. I recall John just sitting...

I am saddened to read that John died in June, but looks like he lived well into his 90's! No surprise there! John and I were running buddies in the Jerome days, in fact he coached me and taught me the how to run/ jog/ and encouraged me to start running local races. We would meet at the J bar in the afternoons...do the lap down Rio Grande trail, and up Cemetary Lane back to the J bar for our cold beer! Even though there was 30 year age difference, he treated me with respect and dignity...

The obituary was wonderful - it reminded me of so many adventures, laughs, and conversations I shared with John over the years. There was nothing better than receiving a letter from him. Just seeing his handwriting on the envelope brought a smile to my face - even if we hadn´t spoken in years, I knew I was about to read something funny, thoughtful, or surprising. I have saved them all! He was one of a kind. A great friend. I´ll never forget him. See you in heaven, John. May you...

I´m am so sorry for your loss Julie, Greg and Scott and my cousin Bob. Love and Hugs

It was my great pleasure to know John and be an"investor" in several of his projects. He was a kind man always engaging and encouraging. So much enjoyed him over the years.

He was kind, funny, and a man full of life! An inspiration. He will be missed.

Tammy, Julie and all. I am so sorry for your loss but also am do grateful to have known your father. The last time I saw him was when I saw all of you at Bluewater and he said such kind things about my own Dad. I remember being little and traveling to the Jerome when our Dad´s were doing business together and what it looked like back then. Sending light and and love to all of you as your remember your amazing father!

Our deepest sympathies to the Gilmore Family and our dear son-in-law, Greg and our daughter, Jacqueline. This amazing tribute to your Father reads like an exciting adventure novel and is evidence of a life well-lived and an inspiration to all. Much Love, Barry and Cathy Bittrick
