Van & Lucy Glaze in about 1942

Mary, We discovered John's passing when my sister Maryetta Oaks, saw a memorial in New Mexico Childrens Home bulletin. We've heard the name of John and Mary Gist throughout our lives. My Mom & Dad(Van & Lucy Glaze of Tarzan then Stanton,Tx) spoke of you in a way we knew there was much love in their hearts for the friendship they shared with you.I can't remember but believe you must have become friends in Denver City before I was born(Leatrice Adams).I just know they imparted to us what...

Mrs. Gist,I am so sorry for your loss.....

We have many fond memories of John and Mary. Over 50 years ago Mary cared for our daughter Cristal while Willa and I worked. They were so sweet to Cristal. We never had to worry when she was with Mary and the Gist family. John was such a gentleman. He was a friend to so many,so easy going and kind. We regret we are not going to be able to attend Johns service as we are traveling this X'mas season.God bless the Gist family. Willa and Walter Didway.

Linda- It is awesome that John's good character traits were instilled in our son-in- laws life. We are proud that Randy learned many good life lessons from being around John. Love to you and all your family
