Helen told me about Jackie's passing. I was so sorry to learn that. As you know, he always had a special place in my heart. We all grew up together on Garner Road and it was sort of family and that caring feeling never leaves even after so many years. I was so sad to learn that he had a lousy fight in the end. Jackie was truely one of the nicest men that I have known- he was nice as a boy and a man.
I know that you will miss him. I am sad that I won't have the chance...

Jack was my best friend growing up through grammar and high school. We spent many long hours watching american bandstand in the basement of his house on garner road. We had lunch together a coupla months ago when jack knew he had limited time left and spent the time reminising about some of the reckless things we did and the guys we grew up with who formed a indelible mark on our lives. Jack; you will be missed and i hope you are enjoying that big golf course in the sky. Bye for now.
