Not sure what to say?

Ailene and family,

I was so shocked to hear the news of your loss. John really did touch so many lives and lived an exemplary life. I have always looked up to him. I will keep you and yours in my prayers.

My family was so saddened by the news. John held such a special place in our hearts as he showed us the beauty of the world that lies beneath the water. We know that he has touched so many lives and will truly miss him. God bless to the Goodners, the Adventure Sports Crew and the Auburn University community - our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Aileene and Family
I was so sorry to hear about John. My thoughts and prayers are with you. It was a great pleasure for me to be with you guys on the Turks trip last year.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

When I arrived home last week I was saddened to hear of John's passing. I enjoyed him as my instructor. My prayers go out to his family. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

Goodners:
Stephanie and I started SCUBA in 2000. All we were looking for was a hobby we could both enjoy. What we got was the greatest cirlce of friends anyone could hope for. We consider John and Adventure Sports part of our family. We pray for your comfort and thank you for sharing John with us. We feel privileged and honored to have known him.

Aileene,

John certified me to dive back in 1978. I also went on several Adventure Sports trips in the following years, and he certified my wife, Emily, after we married in 1979. I took John up flying several times after that, as he was interested in getting his pilots license at that time.
I always liked talking with him in later years, and he will be misssed.

God bless you and your children.

The Lee County Red Cross would like to offer our sincere condolences on the loss of John Goodner who was a H&S Instructor for many, many years. May the peace of the Lord be with you.
