Chief Goodwin -

You were one of the first welcoming faces I met as a recruit. I was blessed to be one of your students. We will not be the same - however we will continue to carry on the pride, training, compassion and class that you instilled in many of us. I will miss you, my friend, but your lessons and wise words will never leave me. I was honored and privileged to serve with you and for you.

To the family of Uncle "Jack" -

Our step-father, Bruce, always spoke very highly of his Uncle Jack. Jack's service to his country as both an army veteran and a firefighter will be his lasting legacy.

Jack was always a true leader of the Western Springs Fire Department being instrumental in bringing the department from all volunteer to full time and paid on call.
