John ?Johnny? Robert Gordon on June 30, 2015 from brain cancer.
He was 60 years old. Survived by Dr. Patrick L. Brady, his partner of 30 years, Edward A. Gordon, Jr., Valena Gordon Munna and Patrick and Vicky Brady. Son of the late Edward A. Gordon, Sr. and Eva Mae Cuevas.
Step-son of the late Juanita Sicarelli.
Also survived by his niece Ashley Sheppard and his nephews, Jason and Blake Munna and Nicolas Gordon.
Loyal and true friend of Alaynna and Ron King, Betty Carrisquillo, Maureen Shelton, Fred and Colleen Dale, Herma Edwards, Janis Cure, Dr. Susan Vaught, and Francis and Mary Richardson.
He will also be missed by his many friends at the St. Joseph?s Altar Ministry and Eucharistic Adoration Chapel, as well as CHSNAA.
John was retired from USDA-NFC, United States Air Force, and the New Orleans Opera Chorus. He was an avid reader and gardener, receiving many accolades on his gardens. His family would like to express their appreciation to St. Joseph?s Hospice and his friend and caregiver, Glenda Walker.
A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church,
400 Westchester Blvd., Slidell, LA 70458 on Thursday, July 9,2015 at 11:00 a.m..
Visitation on thursday at the church after 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, masses preferred at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 3924 Berkley Street, Slidell, LA 70458, or donations to the American Cancer Society.
Interment will be private

One of my favorite persons has left this earth and moved on to the perfection of his journey. I adored this gentleman as we worked side by side in our military adventure with the 926 Communication Flight. I shall always remember God loves him more. Johnny you lived an awesome life. May God bless and keep your family.

Patrick and family members, I am so sorry. My heart is sad and broken over the lost of Johnny. Johnny and I were in Comm Flt for 10 years and we had some great times together. The Angels have a great person, friend, and hero.
