I continue to keep Carrie, Michael Duke and John's entire family in my prayers. I met John over 20 years ago and have so many great memories. I happened to be at the same restaurant where Carrie and John were on one of their first dates and when they walked away I knew that they would be married-I had never seen John look so happy and at ease. I truly believe that they were meant to find one another. I only wish that they had more time together.

John was one of a kind and will be...

Mike and Susybelle, so sad to learn of your loss. Please accept Kirk and my sincere condolences.

John was a wonderful person and great friend! My heart goes out to the love of his life, Carrie, their beautiful son, Michael Duke and the entire Gosslee family. I had the pleasure of knowing John for over 23 years and will never forget the fun times we had together nor the true friendship I had with him. From Cowboy games, lake outings, NAA trips to Vegas, Mexico trips, to just catching up over the phone, John always treated me (and everyone else) so special. I can honestly say that I'm...

Dear Gossleee and Lyons family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember John's laugh and great stories shared at Dukes house.

You all remain in my thoughts and have my eternal gratitude and love.

Susybelle, we just learned about John's passing. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have kept up with John through my son, Kelly Hampton, and just want the Gosslee family to know how truly precious John was to our family. Always welcome in my home with that big smile and exceptional manners! I remember Christmas after Christmas Kelly and John would leave for ski trips with a van load of guys. If they were not off there then it was to Duke's and the races! He is surely smilin' down on us from heaven as we each remember him in our own precious ways.

Robbie, Danieel and Christopher and the entire Gosslee family KNOW that Heaven Just Got Greater. I Bow my heart.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to just learn of John's death. His love of life and courageous battle with cancer represent the indomitable spirit by which we should all seek to live. I remember how much fun it was to coach him during his football playing days at LHHS, and of course, during the 1981 championship season. He could bring a unique sense of comic relief to just about any situation, and like so many others, I will always have fond memories of him. My heartfelt condolences to all...
