He and I saw eye to eye on so many things. His youngest daughter played in Richland's band, while my youngest girl played in Chartiers Valley's. We were both Family Men.

I worked under Don for many years at the Allegheny County Health Department. He was a wise and good counselor and someone who I enjoyed working for. His example and guidance were factors in my career and for that I will be forever thankful. My condolences to all of you for your loss.
