Read MoreJohn and I worked for GPU, an electric utility holding company. We attended many, many long meetings together and a couple of Knicks games when we could get a free evening. He had a noticeable and enviable intellect and a wicked sense of humor. Our condolences to his family and our gratitude for having known him and spent both professional and leisure time together.

Uncle John was one of kindest men of gentlemanly character I have been lucky to know. Also one of the funniest, I always loved how he would tease his sister, my grandmother, just to get a rise out of her. One of my fondest memories is how he’d also throw the football with us at Christmas parties. He was one of the most beloved members of our family, and will be greatly missed by many.
