Not sure what to say?

John was a friend and colleague - a courageous leader and engineer, not afraid to tackle the hard problems with zest and determination. He was passionate about his work and always cared deeply about people. When the going got rough, he could see the way forward and even keep a sense of humor. I'll miss him greatly.

John changed my life. He showed me what a disciplined lifestyle looked like and how to enjoy myself at the same time. He didn't forget the people who he cared for. I will alway's remember his great smile and contageous laugh.

John was a friend, husband, brother, son to his family and loved ones. We will miss him always and he will be in my thoughts everytime I hike, workout, see any chocolate, white or black labs. I will think of him everytime I drive through Castle Rock. I will think about him when I see his picture or any of his friends. I will remember him when I dine at one of restaurants. I am just going to miss him a lot.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends. My mother, Debra, was married to John and later divorced. John introduced me to running and I ran with him several different occacions and continued to run for several years. He always encouraged me and was a great mentor. He had a passion for running, being outdoors and being with his dogs. John was a wonderful man and I am grateful I had the privilege to be a part of his life. Rest in Peace my friend.
