Not sure what to say?

My condolences to John's friends and family. I only knew him for a short time while we were roommates at CG Electronics school in 1960, but he was an unforgettable individual.
Fair winds and following seas, J.D.

"John was always there when the Navy needed him". I enjoyed working with John in joint fire experiments. Fred Williams

I had the pleasure of meeting John over the internet while discussing sports, especially South Alabam and Middle Tennessee. I had attended South but have lived here in Murfresboro, home of Middle Tennessee State, since 1982 and had become a supporter of the Blue Raiders.

The Family, friends, Coast Guard and the Chief Petty Officers Association have lost a great man. He will never be forgotten. He has embarked on his final journey, the Supreme Commandant of the Universe has called him to sail with him in eternally calm seas, forever free from storms of mortal life. I know that there is little I can say that will comfort Bonnie and the Family but I extend to you my Deepest Sympathy.

So sorry for your loss. I know what it is like to loose someone that you love. My prayers are with you and your family at this time of your loss.

Uncle John, your time was far too short. We enjoyed your sense of fun and willingness to play with me and my brothers. Rest well.

In Christian concern and loving care, you were uplifted in prayer by The Mens Prayer Fellowship of Dauphin Way United Methodist Church.

A good man has passed on. He was my brother-in-law and I thought a lot of him. My sister was fortunate to have John as her husband, and I know he'll be missed by many friends and relatives.
