Read MoreI was very sad to find out about John's passing. We never actually met, but we emailed and talked on the phone quite a bit. I think he contacted me for some reason ten or twelve years ago or so. I was sympathetic to his story and I think he liked having someone to talk things through. I thought about him recently and sent an email but then discovered he had passed. My condolences to his family.

What a terrific artist, as his commissioned work for our historic transport terminal on New York Avenue Northwest DC captures. His obituary in today´s Washington Post tells a story of artistic commitment. May his work find renewed life in a legacy of appreciation
