Not sure what to say?

I express my deep condolences to all of John Greeley's family and friends. During my time as an undergraduate student at Salve Regina Dr. Greeley was instrumental in inspiring me to pursue my major in Philosophy. He helped nurture my desire to create a life of purpose and meaning. I feel grateful to have been touched by his wisdom, compassion and humor.

I regret just having heard about John's death today. We worked together preparing for faculty meetings, when John was Parliamentarian. He was kind and gentle. I send my sincere sympathy to Mary Lou and family.

Dr. J was a good friend and colleague of mine at Salve. He had a keen mind, sharp wit and warm disposition. I treasured his counsel. Condolences to Mary Lou and Johnnie. RIP John Rok

John was my formator and teacher when I became a Brother in Narragansett 50+ years ago. He blessed us with his brilliance and humanity. What a gift he was to me and to our world. Condolences to his family. Eternal joy be his.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

With fond memories of my Salve undergrad years, I I express my sincere condolences to the Greeley family. Dr. Greeley opened my mind and fascination with theology and religious studies, and was instrumental in my desire to learn. He had a great laugh and sincere interest in his students. He was a good man. Salve Regina was lucky to have him. I am a better man to have crossed his path. JPM 84-88
