Dear Green Family,
Just learning a few minutes ago of John's passing, I'm still processing an overload of thoughts - all good & mostly very, very happy thoughts... what a great guy!
The picture in my mind of tall, lanky, dapper John Green on a bike riding by the Refectory or in the Quad feels good. But I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry... he looked good (even cool?) but I'm thinking "could he stop in time, if he had to?!"

It seems like only yesterday that John and I first met. We had an engaging conversation in his living room but in reality, it was an interview for the position of art department chair. Dear Millie, John, Peter, Dan and Matt,
Not having too many heroes in the world these days, those who knew John Green were truly fortunate. In thinking of...

To a wonderful man John Green. I spent my senior year at Avon Old Farms working in the Dean's office with him and will forever be the better for it. He will best be remembered for being kind, caring and encouraging. He was a friend and will forever be missed. So sad to hear of your passing.
