Not sure what to say?

Recently visited the gravesite and reminisced about my many visits with Dr. Griffin back in the 1970's. I'll always remember how softspoken and kind he was to me. He left an impression on me that will last my lifetime.

I will never forget Dr. Griffin. I started seeing him in 1973 when I was 8. At the time I wondered why my parents thought I needed help. At age 56 looking back it's easy to see now what I could not see then. I can still see that black hair and glasses that he had. I can still hear his voice asking me what I would like to do today. The wiffle ball games we played outside are something I'll always remember fondly (:

I will never forget Dr. Griffin. I was a patient of his in the 1970's as a child and teenager, at Emory. He was always so soft spoken and kind. And I got to leave school early a few times a month for my appointments my mom would take me to. RIP John B Griffin

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

To Lavinia and family,
My deepest sympathy to each of you. May you sense God's strength and comfort as you go through these days.
Love and prayers.

Dr. Griffin was a blessing in my life and my son's life at times when things seemed absolutely impossible. He knew exactly what my son needed and became a lifeline for us both. Over the years, I continued to thank God for Dr. Griffin, his love for children and the miraculous way God used him in our lives. My son is a wonderful young man who is hugely successful in life. I know it was God and His use of Dr. Griffin's life and gifts that made this possible. My thoughts and prayers are with...

I am saddened to hear of Dr. Grffins passing. I was a patient of his from 1973-1982 at Emory University. A very kind man, and someone I trusted telling anything to.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing. Our deepest condolences to you, Lavinia, and your family. Richard and Adele Ward (Atlanta, GA)

The Greater Atlanta Christian School community, where his sons Johnny and Richard graduated, mourn the loss of Dr. Griffin. He was a good friend of many at GAC. Heaven will be so awesome!
