Our deepest condolences to the Gundzik family..."Doc", as I called him, my late father in-law John Wilkinson and I, did a lot of goose hunting in late 80s early 90s that were so fun I still share those memories with my kids and grandkids...I miss those days but will never forget...Rest in Peace Doc! To the Family: I am saddened to hear of JG's passing but heartened to know that he continued to experience and enjoy a rich and full life throughout his later years. I remember well my days on Palace Avenue and cherish memories of the New Mexicans under his care that I met in my years of working for him. Vaya con Dios, JG!

When I was in high school Dr. Gundzik and I went to Aspen to ski, my father C.L. Mengis couldn't make it. We skied all three resorts and stayed in ski hostels. It was such a good time. And the backpacking trips with him and my father were unforgettable. What a man! So much energy and zest for life. RIP John.
