Not sure what to say?

Hi Papa...I miss you so much, especially on Saturday mornings when we had our weekly telephone call. I miss you telling me that you love me and I miss our long distance hugs. So instead I will talk to you without the phone...so make sure God gives you Saturday mornings off so we can chat...with all my love, Lael Emily Salvador Rodrigues Gunter.

John has been such a good fiend to so many. It was 1975 we joined the ODOT family and he really made us feel like it was a big family. We will remember all the picnics that we attended. Our love to you, Shirley and the family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I met John early in my career with ODOT. I was very impressed with his passion for the work. We used to call him the Super District Maintenance Engineer and many great projects were accomplished during his tenure. May your memories of John bring you many smiles.

I use to work for John Gunter. It was in 1956, at North Bend, Oreg. He
was a great supervisor, and a Good Friend.

Butch, Jeff and Lael, I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was a wonderful person and cared deeply for those he loved. I count myself as one of the lucky ones to have known and loved him also. God Bless you and your family.
