Not sure what to say?

My Dearest Cousin, A year has passed and I often think about what had been and what could be. You were more than a cousin, but a brother looking after another sister. Every time I hear "Song of Silence" I think of you and how you were seldom silent. Give my mom and brother Ben a huge hug! I love you and miss you! Thank you for being my cousin, friend, and brother! I love you! Love, Robin

I knew John for several years while working at MIT. He was always willing to help me with work but more importantly he was always kind. John wasn't always a man with a lot of words but when he did speak it would usually be very on point or very funny. He was a very sweet and rather gentle man. I was saddened to hear of his passing. I will always remember him with fondness.

So very sorry to hear of John's passing. He was dedicated to his work and did it exceptionally!! Always ready to help with "that problem" that would not go away and fix it. Good person and good friend. "WAR EAGLE", John!!

John was one of the most genuine and caring guys I knew. Working with him at SUFI was so fun! His smile was contagious even though he would try to hide it! Was so glad FB came along to keep in contact with him since the days at SUFI, my heart is sad that he is gone, but know he is in a far better place than this world has been lately. Thanks John for your friendship, your smiles and your laughter! God speed.

So sorry to hear of John`s passing. This is a very sad. My condolences for my fami,y

So sorry to hear about this. Condolences to family and friends. John was a good man. He helped me with my technical inadequacies before my retirement, and I was able to work with him for a while. He will be missed. God bless and comfort you all.

I always enjoyed when John would come to the fire station and work on our computer. We would talk McGill-Toolen football. He was a great person and will surely be missed!

John was always concerned about how I was doing and ensuring my family was doing well. He treated me like I was more than a cousin, and like a brother. I will miss our conversations and how I could get him to laugh at my stupid dad jokes and what my kids were destroying at the time. John was a hero to those who truly knew him and understood who he was. Much like our Pawpaw, and his dad (Uncle Paul), he believed in family first and ensure those, like me, understood and lived by that "Hacker"...

My Dearest Cousin,
You have always been there to lend a helping hand or to simply listen. You made me laugh all the time. You were not only a cousin, but a friend and big brother. I will truly miss you. I love you.
