He adored you and all the good times. I can understand why you fell in love with him...I became to love him as well. I am so happy for the many years the two of you had to spend with each other. So sorry it became time to say goodbye. I have had you in my head and in my heart since his struggle began. My...

Linda,

So sorry to hear of your loss. We did not know John well; we only know how much you love him and how good a life you had together. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Linda and Tracy,

I have long considered John as a central member of the Penn State Math Ed community. I always looked forward to seeing and talking with him at our Math Ed gatherings. Like the two of you, he had a way of making those around him feel comfortable and accepted. He will be missed.

Linda, Old friends are sadly missed. John and Dad worked together in the Automotive center at Sears on Jonestown Road. I worked in Electrical and Hardware back then. Lean on God, he will hold you in the palm of HIs hands. Walt Speas "Jr" now in Columbia SC.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of John , he will be greatly missed. May you keep the fond memories you have of him always in your heart. James 4:8 invites us to "draw close to God and he will draw close to you", especially during this sorrowful time.

To the family of John Haffly, please rely on the God of all comfort (2 Cor. 1:3) to comfort you at this very difficult time.

I love you John. See you on the other side. Tell Nickel Nick & Audrey hey for me.

Linda and family, So sorry to hear of John's passing. My dad, Walt Speas, used to work with him at Sears in the Tire Dept. I used to visit as a kid and we would joke around. He was always so nice to me. Dad thought highly of him. Stay strong and remember all the times with family. Thoughts and prayers go out to you. Arlene Speas Klawitter
