Not sure what to say?

Professor Hahn, that made us call him John was indeed one of the most inspirational mind opening instructors I had at Rio Hondo college. As a professional guitarist. musician I got a call from Lucerne, central Switzerland to be part of a renowned Swiss progressive rock band signed to Vertigo Records called Flame Dream. I often wrote John, and sent him albums from Switzerland. He would write me back with inspirational words and let me know I was living in the promise land as he put it....

He was a memorable teacher in my life even some 47 years later. He has quite the presence.

Mr. Hahn was one of the best, kindest, and wisest teachers I had, ever. I still have some of my old essays with his comments to me. I will never forget you, John. Rest in Peace.

Helen-
I miss Johnny. I am so sorry he is gone from us -we need him here!

Dear Lillian and family, Deepest condolences on the loss of John..We remember your family as we visited your home many times on Division Street, while growing up. Most of all your very friendship with my parents Henry and Pearl Gliniak of 109 Strong Street Easthampton, Mass.May John rest in peace and be reunited with his father John and brother Keen.

Thank you for expanding my mind and for helping me and many others see life from a new perspective. Jerry Garcia rocks!!!

Johnny, as he was affectionately was called by Helen, was a lovely man. I am so glad he found my friend, Helen, and made a secure and longstanding attachment. I remember Johnny making the coffee-grinding the beans, every morning when I visited John and Helen in their beautiful Kuaui home. I will miss Johnny.
Love- Pat Luehrs
