Miriam and Family, I'm sorry I could not make the visiting hours. I was shocked to hear of John's passing and will miss him. I got to know him through Track refereeing and now value the meetings and meets that I got to work with him. I also watched him referee football games and know that he was a quiet, confident, and fair official who took the athlete's interests first in each sport. Again, he will be missed by all, and NC basketball games , as well! I hope you still go to them. ...

Miriam I am so very sorry about John. My prayers are that God will embrace you so that your spirit will remain strong and you will feel His peace in a big way. What a wonderful 27 years of memories you must have! Peace to all of your family. Love you.

We will miss John terribly. He was a wonderful man. Just to talk to him on Sunday mornings, early, was such a joy that we looked forward to. Miriam, we are so sorry for your great loss but we know that John is rejoicing in the arms of Jesus his savior.
