My condolences to all Hall family members on Johns passing. I served with John iin Tokyo Japan at ASA HEADQUARTERS in Oji, Kita Ward, Tokyo. In 1957 and 1958. We worked in the same Personnel Office S2. on the 2nd floor of the Hdq building under a Col.KELLER. In 1961, on my way to St Louis for my company in Cleveland, OH, i stopped and visted with John in Matoon.. We kept in contact by occasional. phone contact from the 90s through the early 2020s, especially after he got a cell phone. Bc...

John was a good neighbor to me and was always pleasant to talk to. I will miss seeing him out in his yard tending his flowers. He truly had a green thumb.

My sincere condolences to John's loved ones. I am a neighbor and shared many conversations while we were out tending our respective lawns. I was surprised to see he was 90! I thought for sure he was just in his 70s...always meticulous about his plants, curious about the world and just interested in chatting a bit. Rest in peace, John!
