You had a great run honey...21 years and one perfect child. Love the memories. Enjoy making those in the life you're in now...laugh. We always enjoyed that the most. Love you. Sarah

My sincere condolences to the entire family ~ what an incredible life and so many contributions he made to others.

Single Memorial Tree

Dr. Hamacher changed my life. I was born with Poland´s Syndrome in 1972, and he performed 2 surgeries on my then-webbed left hand giving me fingers, and along with it, the ability to do basically anything I put my mind to. I will be forever grateful. RIP, Dr. Hamacher.

John was a great friend to our family throughout his life! He was a close friend and associate to my Father, Dr. John B. McCormick, when my Dad was going to Dental School and playing golf at Black Hawk Country Club. He performed surgical miracles on myself, as well as other family members. John will always be remembered for his kind soul and free spirit! My heart breaks for your family!!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I worked for Dr.Hamacher for 10+ yrs. At MPSA. He was a really funny, kind, generous man. He treated his staff like family & was one of the best leaders I´ve worked with. He often spoke of the love for his kids & grandchildren & enjoyed spending time with them on the farm. His patients always received top notch care. He would drop what he was doing whether it was day or night to be sure they received adequate medical attention. Dr.Hamacher was a remarkable person who touched the lives of so...

John was an excellent teacher of clinical surgery, and contributed to the education of generations of University of Wisconsin Plastic Surgery residents. His clinical surgery legacy will live on in those he taught and mentored.

I am 80 years old and very sad to hear of John´s passing. He performed "miracle" surgery with my son who is now 48. He was born with a severe facial birthmark. John performed 4-5 surgeries in my son´s younger years and to this day you would not know he was born with a terrible birthmark Thank you, thank you, thank you! Rest in Peace John and Julie Helf
