Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, Inc. - Perkasie Obituary

            John G. Hamburger, of Hilltown Twp. and formerly of Sellersville, PA, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., PA.  He was 80.


            He was the husband of Marian E. (White) Hamburger.  The couple had celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on November 23, 2021.


            Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late George J. and Ann C. (Moser) Hamburger.  He was a 1959 graduate of Lansdale Catholic High School, Lansdale, PA.


            He was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.


            Mr. Hamburger worked as a Construction Superintendent for 40 years, most recently for Skanska, Parsippany, NJ, for over 20 years until his retirement.


            A member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, PA, he was active with the Knights of Columbus No. 9736, Hilltown.


            An outdoors and nature enthusiast, Mr. Hamburger especially enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and birdwatching.  Social by nature, he loved to talk.


            Surviving with his wife are four children, Lisa and Brian Hamburger, both of Perkasie, PA, Tim Hamburger and his wife Tara, of Quakertown, PA, and Kevin Hamburger and his wife Alicia, of Dornsife, PA; and six grandchildren, Joe, Owen, Lucas, Emmitt, Weston and Gavin.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and George Hamburger, and two sisters, Anita Miller and Jane Miller.


            His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.

Marian, I don't know if you remember me; I'm Rosella's daughter.
I was saddened when, after deciding to do a search for John (and you), I learned that he had died. I remember his laughing eyes and kind manner.
I am so sorry for you loss.
