John and I go back a long way, as we met in Jr. High. John liked to imitate Ed McMahon for the Johnny Carson show in his younger days. John was the guy to go to for car repairs and the guy I went to when I would come back to Mattoon for the military on leave to catch up on the local gossip, and still did to this day, as I live out of town now. John loved his dog from Rex at the station to Rudy and in between. I remember John enjoyed sports, as he and I won the city bowling doubles tournament...

had some good times together he will be missed by all

I grew up near the Standard Gas Station. I remember John ,his dad ,and uncle working there. Also remember the German Shepherd that all of us neighbor kids loved to pet. Sorry for your loss.
