Not sure what to say?

Dear Kay & family,
John was a good man and a good friend over many years. Both Nick and I missed our many great conversations at the New York Deli over the years before we moved to Colorado. Nick and I also used to fondly remember "working" for John several years at William & Mary at the beginning of each semester as students subscribed to The Washington Post. Please remember that "life is not ended, only changed". Bill Sullivan, Colorado Springs, Colorado

I was truly saddened to see the notice of John's passing today. He was my employer for five years in the 1980's. He was more than just a boss, however; I considered him to be my good friend, as well. I also got to know Kay, and his daughter Beth. I hope that our sadness at his passing will soon be succeeded by the celebration of his life. He was a good man, and we will miss him very much.

Kay and family,
I'm so sorry to read about John passing. He was a great person and will be truly missed. We had many good times together in Toano back in the good old days of the Washington Post/Michael Flanary era. I do consider him a dear friend. Dr. Sternberg sends his condolenses as well, John was a dedicated patient for years. We are both glad that we got to see you guys when we were in Va. last summer. God bless you and your family, you will be in my prayers.
