John was one of the most honorable men I've ever met or worked for.

I managed Mr Hanes dad's plantation (Mr John W Hanes) Kelly Pond Plantation, Thomasville Ga. I have so many wonderful memories of the quail hunts & duck shoots. Thomasville Ga. Fred Brady 229-200-3422

What a wonderful man, with a wonderful outlook. And integrity.
Johnny was loved and respected by many, and he will be missed. He was a great boss.

I met Mr. Hanes some years ago when he and his family very generously hosted the National English Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Championship on their property near Bozeman, Montana. I particularly remember his welcome to the competitors and the gallery at the beginning of the event. He was turned out in a tweed English shooting suit---complete with plus fours---and his genuine enthusiasm for field sports and affection for like-minded people was obvious.
