John was one of the most honorable men I've ever met or worked for.

Johnny was loved and respected by many, and he will be missed. He was a great boss.

I met Mr. Hanes some years ago when he and his family very generously hosted the National English Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Championship on their property near Bozeman, Montana. I particularly remember his welcome to the competitors and the gallery at the beginning of the event. He was turned out in a tweed English shooting suit---complete with plus fours---and his genuine enthusiasm for field sports and affection for like-minded people was obvious. Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years. May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.
