Not sure what to say?

Dear Professor Hanks, I will always remember you and thank you for helping me to become a lawyer who looks at the law the way you did. You were a wonderful teacher and a very kind man. Rest in peace.

Dear Professor Hanks, over forty years after you were my torts teacher at Cardozo, and ten years after you left us, I still think of your kindness and wisdom. I thank you on behalf of every law student who was lucky enough to know you. You will never be forgotten, and you will live on in all of us.

My favorite torts professor at Cardozo. Professor Hanks challenged my mind, and helped to mold me into the lawyer I became. And he did it with patience and good humor. I thank him every day for his exceptional skills, and for what he taught me to become. I wish him peace now, and want him to know that scores of his students owe him a great debt. Thank you. You live on in us.

You were a wonderful husband to my sister and a wonderful uncle to my children. We all miss your smiles and your wonderful wisdom. A kind and caring man. I say prayers for you and for Fran Love. Levine's

To the best torts professor ever, and a kind and caring man. You will always live in my memory. Thanks for everything I learned from you, which gave me my career.

It’s difficult to believe that you’ve been gone for so long. But you and your accomplishments and, especially, your kindnesses to your Cardozo students will always be remembered.

Uncle John brought light and brilliance into the world. He loved my sister and I through thick and thin. He loved my Aunt in such a way that I know what to expect for my own future husband. You are always in my thoughts UJ. Love <3

He was a incredible person. He was a great uncle to my children and a wonderful brother-law.

To the kindest and most helpful torts professor an L1 could ever have had. May you find the peace and eternal rest you deserve.
