Not sure what to say?

I knew John from Rockford, Illinois back in 1968 from high school. He was a great guy then. So very sorry to lose a great guy.

Donna, I just learned of John's death on Monday, February 15, 2009. I am so sorry for your loss. May God give you peace as time passes.

Donna,
Kathy and I are extremely sadden by the loss of John. He was a dear friend, associate for the many years together at Medtronic and the memories we have will endure forever.
Love,
Fred and Kathy Bender

Donna, Kelly and Kevin - Jeff and I were shocked and deeply saddened when we heard the news of John's passing. They say heros are made, not by how they died but how they lived. John was truly a hero. We will cherish the time we spent with him and rejoice in having known such a wonderful, kind man.

God Bless You

Donna,
I'm so sorry I couldn't be with you during this time. Pat called me last night to let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love Always

Donna, Family, and friends,
It is with great sadness that I write this note. Simply put, John was one of the special ones. He touched a lot of lives with his unique energy and passion. While even a young man, he had the ability to captivate, energize, and inspire colleagues and subordinants (and I question whether he ever had any real subordinants) to be the best we all could be. He truly was one of the most outstanding business and personal friends anyone could ever hope for. And I hope...

Donna & family,

I can't tell you how shocked and saddened Jane and I were to learn of John's passing. Even though we hadn't seen him in quite a few years, John was one of those people whom you don't forget. Working with him in the early years of Medtronic Heart Valves I came to admire John's optimism, sense of humor, integrity, and love of family, friends, peers, and customers. He epitimized the term "people person". I wish the world had more John Hanley's and we will all miss him...

I was saddened to hear of John's death. He hired me almost 25 years ago at Medtronic and I still remember his enthusiasm and joy for life to this day. He was a pleasure to work with and always brought his personal Irish passion to everything and everyone he met. Please accept my deepest sympathy at your loss.

Donna, Kelly, and Kevin,
There are no words to express my sadness and sorrow. We are keeping you all in our prayers.
Love,

Carol and Ray
