Not sure what to say?

Mick was a college teammate of mine at Western Montana College. He played first base with exceptional skill. He gave me great encouragement and was a real team player and leader

Dr Hanley played a huge role in helping me through a really difficult time. I was having a really bad experience at Boston University and came to discuss it with him when I was home for spring break. After hearing my story, he encouraged me to come back to western for my final year of grad school. He was such a great professor. He cared so much about his students like me. If it weren't for him, I would've stayed at BU and continued to struggle through some unfortunate circumstances. Instead,...

One of my favorite humans ! Just a wonderful colleague.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my dear friend from Western Michigan University. We were on the same tenure and promotion path and he was always so supportive when I chaired the OT program. My thoughts and prayers for Sherry and family.

I knew Mick through our work at WMU, where we both worked as faculty and Department Chairs. We also co-authored a paper on the treatment of stuttering. But much of our interaction centered around golf, a passion for both of us. Mick was generous, kind and enthusiastic. The world is diminished with his passing. My condolences to Mick's family.

Sherry, we are so sorry to hear of Mick passing, he was such a wonderful person and you two made such a special couple. Indian Run won't be the same without his smile. We are in Florida for another month, please know our thoughts, prayers and love are with you and you family during this difficult time. Love ya Sharon

Mick was a wonderful teacher and friend to all who knew him at WMU....he contributed so much to his profession. Jan Blaising

Sherry: I am sad beyond words. Mick was always bigger than life; a loud obnoxious Irishman with a heart of gold. He was a cornerstone for our group at Iowa. He went out of his way to make new students feel welcome and part of the group. Many times in my early days he would show up at my office with a terrible joke or story that made my day. The world can't afford to lose too many of his like. My vision is getting a little bleary so Ill close by saying that Mick lives on in many hearts. Best...

Sherry and boys, I am saddened beyond words. To all of us classmates at the University of Iowa Mick was a dear friend and inspiration. St Patrick's Day will never be the same for me.My eyes are getting bleary as I write so I'll end by saying Mick lives on in our hearts.
