John T. Hannas

Dear Family and Friends of John. Though I found out only now, I am saddened by the passing of John, a longtime friend and role model. I was a Navy LTJG stationed at DPSC from 1972 to 1974 and got to know and respect John rather well. He was a great teacher, counselor and example of a perfect gentleman. Uncle John will be greatly missed. As my mom posted, we loved going to their house and will never forget using the china and crystal. To this day, I think of them every time I use my china.

Just wanted to let the family of John Hannas, know that I have always had fond memories of Uncle John. I have not seen or been in touch with him for a number of years. He was always very nice to me and my children (Lisa, Marcy and Natalie Proud). Uncle John and Aunt Margaret were among their favorite aunts and uncles. They used to visit us and my kids were always excited to see them. They both were very positive and never said anything bad about anyone. We used to enjoy visiting them...

Uncle John was always a kind and gentle person to everyone, he will be missed.
