John was the best neighbor and friend to have for the past 10 years. He always had a smile on his face. He use to come next door and he and my husband would sit on the patio and discuss the war they were in. We really enjoyed having him and Grace for neighbors and I will miss him.

The confines of the obituary barely scratch the surface of the man John Hanson. Sort of like saying its a red car when you are looking at a screaming F41 Ferrari. After his capture in the Phillipines, he was part of the Bataan death march and those three years as a POW were not in some Hogans Heros comfort camp - he was a slave laborer in a steel mill on a starvation diet with sadistic guards.
