Not sure what to say?

John was always there for me during my career at CRS. He was such a kind and gentle man. He always made time for everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He will be missed.

John was extraordinary mentor and colleague during the Frost Task Force days at CRS. He was a true gentleman and I will always remember him with respect and affection.

John was a great scholar, but more importantly, a wonderful mentor, and man. I was honored to work with him at CRS during the Frost Task Force days. My condolences to the whole Hardt clan, he will be missed.

John was a real scholar and organized several research projects that he invited me to join. His amiable nature and broad knowledge made him a pleasure to work with. Although he is gone, his legacy remains in the many publications and studies he did as well as the professional development he encouraged among all of us at the Congressional Research Service.

My condolences to you at this time. May you be comforted by peace from God. Philippians 4:6, 7

My condolences to his family upon John's death.

I am sorry for your loss. May the peace of God be with you through this period of bereavement.

John was very helpful to me in my academic career, as a teacher and thesis adviser at George Washington University, and as a mentor and colleague at the Congressional Research Service. Thank you.

We treasured John's wisdom, wit, friendship and warmth. He leaves an enormous empty space in our lives.
