I was so shocked and saddened when I found out about Johns passing on Facebook. I worked with John while a Cardiac Care Nurse at Cape Fear Medical Center prior to moving to Michigan in 2008. I loved floating to Cardiac Surgery. John was an amazing nurse and was respected by his nursing peers, nursing leaders, and the physicians and open heart surgeons. The patients were always in great hands when John was their nurse or the charge nurse overseeing the care of all the patients. He will...

John's family; I am so very sorry for your loss! I met John while working at Highsmith Hospital. When my husband had heart bypass at CFVMC, John actually saved his life! John knew to run check on him when he saw the look on my face. If John was your nurse, you were well taken care of. John had a truly God given talent, he was loved and respected by many people...me being one of them! All of you are in my thoughts and prayers!

To the Family of John,
I am so terribly sorry about his passing. I knew John when we worked together at Highsmith Rainey Memorial Hospital. He was always upbeat and you couldn’t help but smile in his presence. He also was a shining light for me and my family when my father and mother were in Cape Fear Valley Hospital. I always felt confident they were getting the best care with John. Please know he was a servant of the Lord and it showed, he was certainly a light in my families hearts....

John Hare was such a great person who loved people and loved nursing. I met him in 90s and was called to ER many times when he was working. He was compassionate and humble. He was an awesome Critical Care nurse and took excellent care of the patients and the families.
He didn't hesitate to call the Chaplain for support and I was often that chaplain. He had such a great sense of humor. Rest High on that Mountain my friend.
