John was my Uncle, the older brother of my Dad, Bert. Uncle John always seemed to have liked most everyone and was well respected by my Dad. My sister and I once told Dad that whenever he(Dad) was around John he began to speak just like him. We’ve noticed this all our lives, and Dad flatly denied such a behavior, but it was true. Dad must have really looked up to his older brother. Uncle John had a variety of skills and was a special, kind person. I’ll miss him. Jim Harrison
