Not sure what to say?

John was a very good friend. We were classmates at the Washington University School of Medicine. I only learned of his death this morning. I live in Michigan, so we only communicated via phone and text. I was planning to contact him this week regarding his beloved Carolina Tar heels basketball team's Final Four appearance.
John was a special person and a great and gifted doctor. We shared some great times in St. Louis. He had a wonderful soul. He will be missed.

Jerry Johnson, MD

John was my doctor. He was an exceptional doctor and even more an exceptional person. We shared the same love for cycling as I'm shocked to hear of how he passed. John was a genius and I will miss him.

I am devastated today. that I went to Ingles Supermarket and I found out that this Lovely Dr that I met there waiting on line at the Deli and he told me that ladies first. I remembered that I told him to tell his mother that she did a good job. Then we started talking about Science and I didn't know he was a Dr at first, but as soon as I saw him well dress and polite I got an idea that he was well educated. Later I went back another day in the evening and he was there buying his salad....

I was not a patient but my mother was and she definitely thought the world of Dr Harsch. She passed in 2007 from bladder cancer and I remember he called one evening to give me some much needed advice and his opinion about her upcoming surgery. Truly a great man.

I only recently found out about this. I am still shocked. I remember when his practice grew so quickly because of his excellent reputation. I used to tell him that he'd gotten so in demand that I could never get in to see him. At one time he was regarded as one of the best if not "the best" physician to treat high blood pressure AND he was one of the first physicians to provide a community health fair. He treated "everyone" with dignity. The community, especially those of us that reside in...

I had been a patient of Dr. Harsch's for over 20 years. We had wonderful conversations. I was so shocked of his passing. He always listened to me. He took care of my great grandmother, aunt, cousin, friends. He was a part of my family. We will miss you John Arthur Harsch MD. Rip

Such a tragedy! John was a truly great doc and embodied all that it takes to be a good doc. He had all the knowledge but more importantly, he loved to help his patients. The many sentiments expressed here demonstrate how significantly he impacted people's lives.

John, you are the same age as me and I know how my family would be rocked, so I pray they can focus on all the wonderful memories that you shared during your very beautiful life. Rest in peace.

Dr. Harsh was the most carrying Dr. That I have ever known. I laid in an emergency room bed for 8 hours waiting for a kidney specialist to admit me. She couldn't make up her mind. The emergency physician couldn't do it. I was under Dr. Harschs office for my diabetes and everyday care. I heard his voice and I started calling him. He pulled that curtain back saw me and asked the emergency physician for the chart. He admitted me and fixed me up. What can I saw about a caring man. I have moved to...
