In the sometimes glitter of law enforcement John always stood out above most others as a bright jewel. His charm and warm smile belied the toughness and strength of his character. As a young officer, I admired and respected his wisdom and abilities. As I grew older, I benefited from his counsel. His God was always his partner. Now, they can share a few stories.

Dear LaVerne and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I remember so many fun family outings with you and John - our cruise, the many picnics, the boys' fishing trips, the famous trip to Washington Island (pouring rain), Knights of Columbus, church and school activities, his Santa Claus appearance at our house on Christmas Day, and many, many years of deep friendship. Eddie and John were quite the dynamic duo with their perfume selling and other adventures! I'm glad to know...
