Not sure what to say?

John and I go back to when he first came to the old GHS and I helped him work on the ball fields. as he new I was a farm boy. Norm

I am a better man for having John in my life going all the way back to elementary school. I believe the 6 years at GHS were some of the best years of my life and the friends I made and have to this day.

Always enjoyed his gym class. A real straight up guy and a wonderful teacher. Since I was transferred to GHS in 11th grade, I only had two years to enjoy this fine teacher.

He is forever missed, he almost
has a football team with him, just know that his shoes could never be filled.

He was my gym teacher in 1959-60. Always liked his method of teaching and his fairness. I really liked him a lot. When I joined the Navy Seals/UDT-a lot of his character rubbed off on me and helped me when the going got tough. And believe me Seal training got tough.

Deep in our Hearts. John's memories live on. His devotion to GHS is just unbelievable. As a retired teacher of GHS for 25 yrs. John continues to resonate in my Heart. I hope you can keep him in your memory and heart. And remember and practice the values that he taught and lived. Best Mike deRosa GHS Science/ math teacher.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. Had a fantastic time in your gym classes.

Dear Betty, Carol and Mollie,
My heartfelt sympathy and thoughts are with your family on the passing of an extraordinary, fine, kind, thoughtful and wonderful man. It was an honor to know him and call him friend. Our family will miss him.

Betty, Molly and Carol, words could never express the feeling we have for this family, we knew him as a teacher,a coach and a dear friend. I was on the committee that worked to get the field named after him, which was long over due and come to think of it I feed him many of meals also..He produced a great Quarter back....He will be missed deeply, I can't imagine what he and Mr.
Morris are talking about...Love to you all,
