Not sure what to say?

To the family and friends of John Haskins. I knew John as an legal opponent while he was an Assistant State's Attorney. Although we fought many a battle, I always felt that in the end we were friends. The last time I saw him was at the courthouse in Markham and I was happy to see that he was defending a client on a post conviction matter. John had a sharrp mind and a sharper wit. May God comfort you during your time of bereavment.

Dear Neddie, Brothers & Sisters,
I vividly remember Jumper from high school days on the South Side. He was always ready for fun and good times.

Wish I could be there to repay your kindness when you were present for Alison's burial of her mother Marian Gatti. Eddie, my dad, and I lovingingly remember your mother as well. Blessings from one of your second cousins.

Saying a prayer tonight for Jumper, my eighth grade basketball coach and one of the all-time legends of "the Courts" at 93rd and Hoyne. See you in heaven, Jumper. God bless all the Haskins'.

Our Prayers are with John and the Family. Thanks John for all the good times and memories at the courts and the high chair.

John was the first state's attorney I faced when I was assigned to the post conviction division of the public defender's office five years ago. He was extremely helpful to me, explaining courtroom procedures to me in an area of practice that I had never engaged in before. He will be missed.

To Ned, Sharon, Kathy, Tom, Dan & Paul...
Anne & I are so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. Our memories of "Jumper" will be with us forever. God rest his soul and comfort the Haskins family.
Anne & Mike Connor

Dearest Paul and Joan,
The phrase 'thinking of you' sounds so trite, but know that I am thinking of you and praying for your broken hearts.
Love,
Suzanne

Dear Beloved Cousins,
I heard with real sadness about John's passing. My family and I said a long prayer at dinner for John, his family, and all of us. He is in my prayers,

All my sympathies,

Cousin Jim Jacobs

Dear Ned
I'm sorry to hear of John's passing. My sympathy to all of your brothers and sisters and to Elizabeth. Unfortunately I am in Florida and will be unable to attend the services. When I think of John I remeber the "Courts" and the learning experiences we all went thru with him.
