John P. Hatala, 77, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital in Browns Mills. Born in Trenton, he was a graduate of Steinert High School and was a US Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War. After the Navy, John was a mechanic for Conrail and later became a parts manager for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station. He also worked for years at the flower department at Pennington Quality Market. He could fill a room with endless stories, but John enjoyed the outdoors most of all and could often be found tending to his garden. He also was an avid fisherman and enjoyed making his own lures.
Son of the late John and Elizabeth Hatala, he is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia; his daughter and son-in-law, Heather and John Kuehne; his two sons, Jason Hatala and John Hatala; his sisters Elizabeth Young and Mary Jane Giuffre; his grandson, Harrison Paul Kuehne; as well as many nieces nephews and other extended family.
Visitation with the family will be held from 12 to 2 pm on Monday, October 3rd at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main St., Allentown. Inurnment will be held immediately thereafter at Brigadier General William C Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown.

Jack was always there when you needed a friend. He and Rich worked together at Conrail for years and became great friends (almost like brothers). He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. RIP Jack. God bless
