If you were to look up Mason in a dictionary you would find a picture of John Havery beside the word. He was a true cornerstone in our Lodge at Tigard and twice honored me by being the Lodge secretary while I was Worshipful Master.
I had the pleasure of presenting John with the prestigious Hiram award that is given to only a select few and only after a vote of his peers. He cried as I placed the award around his neck which made me cry as well.

Tigard Lodge and John was there when I became a Master Mason. I remember his laugh, his smile, his very serious side and most of all his dedication to the things he was pasionate about.
